Itinerary
Day 1 ly to Paro from Kathmandu / drive to Thimpu (65 Kms./2 hrs.) tour briefing / overnight hotel,
Day 2
A Full days sightseeing in Thimpu;
a.m.-visit the Memorial Chortern of the Late King Jigme Dorje Wangchuk in the heart of Thimpu, the Tashichhodzong, "The Fortress of the Auspicious Religion." p.m.-a stroll downtown to the Handicraft Development Corporation which displays a variety of Bhutanese handicrafts. overnight hotel.
Day 3
Thimpu- Paro (65 Kms./ 2 hrs.).
a.m.- After breakfast a leisurely drive to Paro. p.m.- Drive through the Paro valley visit the Drukgyel Dzong/ Kyichu Lhakhang and the National Museum located in Ta Dzong / overnight hotel.
Day 4
Paro: Excursion to Taktsang Lhakang.
a.m.- After breakfast drive to Sartsham Chorten. Two hours of horse riding (optional) to Taktsang. After refreshment, a short trek to view the famous Taktsang Lhakhang (the "tigers nest"). p.m.- After lunch a slow downhill trek to Sartsham Chorten for the drive to the hotel / overnight.
Day 5 Drive to airport for your flight to Kathmandu / transfer hotel
