guidance, please carefully read and be sure
that you fully understand the IMPORTANT
NOTES and TERMS & CONDITIONS. Receipt
of your payment represents your acknowledgement
and acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Hotel accommodations : Hotels are based on double occupancy.
Single supplement is indicated in each
city module itinerary. On occasions when
accommodations must be assigned on a share
basis due to insufficiency of single rooms,
an appropriate refund will be made after
returning to your home. Triple room rates
are not available. Hotels are subject
to change. Substitutions, if any, are
similar class to listed hotels.
Cruise accommodations are based on double
occupancy of twin-bedded stateroom with
private bath. Triple occupancy in cabins
is not available. For upgrade to suite
cabins, contact our reservations department.
All Yangtze River cruise ships are People's
Republic of China registry.
MEALS: Meals are served
as specified in the itineraries.
TOURS: Due to occasional
flight delays, it may not be possible
to include some sightseeing tours as scheduled.
Also, cultural and acrobatic shows and
the Children's Palace performance may
not be available during holidays and seasonal
recess in China. If it becomes necessary
to change the means of transportation
or any other service, or for the tour
to be prolonged through circumstances
beyond the control of the ground operator,
any additional tour cost must be borne
by the passenger and is payable immediately.
Due to varying water levels on the Yangtze
River and/or construction at the Three
Gorges Dam, Yangtze River cruise routes
and shore excursions are subject to possible
change. SINGLE-CITY MODULES and MULTI-CITY
MODULES: are locally hosted and include
a private bi-lingual guide in each city
who will meet and assist you at each airport
and while touring in each city, but will
not accompany you on flights or on motorcoaches
when traveling between cities.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: You
must have passport with a six-month validity
AFTER the date of return are required
for all tour participants. Nature Trail
or our Beijing/China Travel Representative
will not be responsible for visa application
for entry into the People's Republic of
China; you must apply your Chinese travelling
visa at the nearest Embassy. If you're
travelling Tibet, we will take care of
your Tibet permits.
HEALTH: In general,
tours are quite active and require a good
deal of walking, frequently including
stairs. Tours that include Huangshan or
Tibet, travel into areas of high altitude
and have extreme temperature fluctuation.
We strongly recommend that you discuss
any health concerns regarding these points
with your personal physician.
Travelers needing special assistance must
advise Nature Trail at time of booking
to determine what assistance may reasonably
be made available. We regret that we cannot
provide individual assistance to a tour
member for walking, dining, getting on/off
motorcoaches and other transportation
vehicles, or other personal needs. Passengers
requiring any form of assistance must
be accompanied by an adult, over 21 years
of age, responsible for providing such
assistance. Handicap access to some facilities
may not be available at the same required
levels standard in China. Currently, vaccinations
are not required. As health requirements
change without notice, please check with
your personal physician or public health
service for current required or recommended
inoculations.
BOOKING PROCEDURES (1 through
6, see below)
1) RESERVATION REQUEST: Upon receipt of
your deposit, written confirmation/invoice
and Passenger Information Form, will be
sent.
2) DEPOSIT: All Deposits
may be paid by credit card (MasterCard,
Visa, Discover, American Express) with
signed credit card authorization form
or by bank transfer.
a.) Receipt of deposit confirms your reservation
and is applied toward final payment.
Deposit: 20%
per person
Single-city Module:
US $ 50.00 per person
3) FINAL PAYMENT: Final
payment is due 70 days prior to departure
date and may be made by credit card, with
signed credit card authorization form,
or bank transfer.
Any payments not made by 30 days prior
to departure date will be subject to a
$25.00 per person late payment fee. A
$25.00 per person late booking fee will
be assessed on new reservations made within
30 days prior to departure. Final payment
on late bookings is due immediately to
avoid the late payment fee, and is accepted
only by bank transfer.
Nature Trail Travel (hereinafter NTT),
reserves the right to cancel bookings
not paid in full by the due date. During
peak travel periods, it may be necessary
to request your final payment more than
70 days prior to departure date, or modify
your tour arrangements to accommodate
unforeseen circumstances due to the high
demand for air and hotel space. You will
be notified immediately should this situation
arise.
5. REVISION FEES:
A per-person fee for each revision will
be assessed for any changes in air and/or
land arrangements after the booking number
has been issued and is under deposit.
From initial reservation through issue
date of documents/tickets. US $15.00 per
person (plus supplier's penalties)
Once documents/tickets are issued, changes
are not permitted and air tickets are
non-refundable.
A change in departure date, or from one
tour to another, is considered a cancelled
trip and cancellation penalties will apply.
6. CANCELLATION FEES: All tours:
70 days or more before departure: US $200.00*
per person
69 to 45 days before departure: US $250.00*
per person
44 to 16 days before departure: US $300.00*
per person
15 to 1 day before departure: US $350.00*
per person
Land Only/Single-City Module (at any time
before departure): US $200.00 per person
(if the cost of a City Module is less
than $200.00, the cancellation fee will
be the total amount of that module)
*Plus any charges assessed by land suppliers,
cruise companies and airlines, in addition
to any revision fees.
On or after departure date: 100% forfeiture
of the tour price per person
AIR INFORMATION:
NTT will provide air transportation in
conjunction with land tours, based on
the applicable air fares on participating
airlines, subject to the rules and regulations
of the class, fare and service of the
individual airline. Tours that are published
inclusive of air utilize contracted net
fares in effect at time of printing, and
are subject to change by the airline.
Due to special contracted net agreements,
supplements or credits for air deviations
may not be equal to published air fare
differentials.
Air fares are subject to change and any
increase in air fare is not included in
the tour fare.
Depending on air fare class used, the
air fare may be non-refundable and subject
to full cancellation penalties. Tour fare
does not include any increase in air fare
due to increase in fuel cost and/or for
any other reason. NTT endeavors to follow
the itineraries precisely; however, if
flights are not available at the scheduled
time, we reserve the right to modify the
air and land arrangements for smooth operation
of the tour.
BAGGAGE: Baggage allowance
differs for the transpacific and China
sections of your tour. Normally two pieces
of checked baggage. Maximum weight/size
for each piece is 70 lbs./62 inches (sum
of three dimensions). One carry-on not
to exceed 45 inches (sum of three dimensions)
is allowed. Baggage allowance within China
is one piece of baggage not over 44 lbs.

excess of one piece per person will result
in excess baggage fees to be paid immediately
upon demand. Nature Trail Travels does
not assume any responsibility for loss
or damage to baggage or passenger's belongings.
It is at passenger's risk throughout.
LAND INFORMATION:
REFUND ON UNUSED OR CHANGED TOUR ARRANGEMENTS:
Portions of land arrangements, hotel accommodations
or any other service or feature of the
tour which are not used are neither refundable
nor exchangeable. Refund claims must be
made in writing within 20 days of the
termination of the tour. A written statement
from the Tour Manager certifying the exact
services not rendered must be attached
to this claim.
TOUR FARE DOES NOT INCLUDE:
1) Fees for delivery of tour documentation
to international destinations.
2) Airline and airport taxes, security
charges and user fees, both domestic and
international, which vary depending on
itinerary; transportation of heavy baggage
in excess of applicable allowance; cost
of passport and visas; and all items of
a personal nature.
3) China's airport management and construction
fees imposed by the local government are
not included in the tour price and will
be collected from each participant before
departure at each airport. Airport embarkation
taxes are not included in the tour fare
and will be collected upon departure from
each city.
4) The customary end-of-tour gratuity
to tour managers and tips to local guides
and drivers are not included. Tips to
restaurant and hotel waiters, chambermaids
and porters are not included.
5) Land prices for Single-city Modules
do not include transpacific or domestic
air. For Multi-city or Yangtze River Modules,
land and cruise prices do not include
transpacific air nor domestic air (unless
otherwise stated).
International and domestic air schedules
are subject to change at any time. If
you make your own flight arrangements,
Nature Trail Travel will not be responsible
for any loss resulting from cancellations,
delays, or changes in flight schedules.
RESPONSIBILITY:
The suppliers providing transportation,
conveyance or accommodations are independent
contractors and are not agents or employees
of NTT. All tickets, coupons and receipts
issued by NTT and all arrangements for
transport or conveyance or for hotel
accommodations are made by NTT as agent
of the suppliers. By utilizing the services
of suppliers, you agree that neither
NTT nor any subsidiary or affiliate
of NTT shall be liable for any injury,
damage, loss, accident or delay incurred
by you or those traveling with you in
connection with any accommodations,
transportation or other services resulting
directly or indirectly from any acts
or default of the suppliers or from
any occurrence or condition beyond the
control of NTT, including defects in
vehicles or breakdown in equipment.
Nor shall NTT be liable for any injury,
damage, loss, accident or delay resulting
directly or indirectly from delays,
cancellations or changes in flights,
itineraries, schedules, steamers or
other services, strikes, theft, sickness,
weather, quarantine or other causes.
By utilizing NTT to arrange your tour
you agree that NTT is not responsible
for any injury, damage, loss, accident
or delay resulting, directly or indirectly,
from delays, cancellations or changes
in flights, itineraries, schedules,
steamers, or other services caused by
the acts of any Government, its local
subdivisions, bureaus and/or authorities.
All tour itineraries and fares may be
affected by alterations or delays in
air or surface transportation services
of the various countries. NTT reserves
the right to withdraw any tour in this
program and to make such alterations
in the itineraries as may be found desirable
for the convenience of the parties or
the proper operation of the tour. NTT
reserves the right to decline to accept
or to retain any person as a member
of the tour party at any time.
The General Conditions under which you
agree to utilize the services of NTT
in arranging the tours in this brochure
may not be amended in any way except
in writing signed by an authorized officer
of NTT or our representative in Beijing.
By utilizing the services of NTT, or
our local agent, you agree the exclusive
venue for all claims, actions or proceedings
against NTT our our China counter part
of whatsoever nature arising out of
this contract shall be the Beijing of
China and such claim, actions or proceedings
shall be determined according to the
laws and jurisdiction of Beijing, People's
Republic of China.
