the more adventurous travelers, there are
18 minor peaks open for alpine climbing
by Nepal Mountaineering Association. The
climbing of these peaks is controlled by
the rules & regulations formulated by
this Association. For the permit you should
apply through the trekking agency &
you should have a climbing guide, otherwise
a permit is not issued.
By Himalayan standards trekking peaks are
considered minor peaks, but in fact some
of them provide relatively challenging snow
and ice climbing of high standard, &
more so in winter. The royalty for these

peak for up to 10 members climbing teams.

these peaks are lower than their more famous
cousins - the 8000 meter peaks - many of
the climbs are no less demanding and adventurous
in nature. These Trekking Peak climbing

Though most of these climbs require little
or no previous mountaineering experience,
